I am a teaching assistant and I love working with children of pre-school and school age. In my work I place particular value on an individual approach, on supporting the child, and on creating the conditions in which they feel confident and take an active part in the lesson. In class I use play-based and interactive teaching methods, exercises for speech, attention, memory and imagination, and elements of storytelling, role play and theatre pedagogy. I pay particular attention to communication skills, expressive speech, and the ability to work in a group, listen and interact with other children. I am also a professional director at a well-known Russian theatre. That directing experience lets me bring techniques of stage speech, improvisation, character and emotional work into my teaching, along with exercises for loosening up, focusing attention and building self-assurance. It makes lessons livelier and more dynamic, and helps children not only absorb the material but discover their own creative abilities.
